Robert Sandford was born and raised on Long Island. As a kid, most of his time was spent in parks or some kind of ball field. He is married with one son. He volunteers as a basketball and baseball coach. As a coach, Robert’s main goal is to instill as much confidence in his players and make them all feel part of the team.

Robert and his family also spend their free time volunteering for Canine Companions for Independence as puppy raisers. The Sandford Family has raised a total of fourteen puppies over a fifteen year span.
